How to Grill the Perfect Steak
A great steak doesn’t need to be complicated. Start with a quality cut, use the right heat, and follow a few simple steps for a flavorful crust and juicy center every time.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT CUT
Ribeye, New York strip, filet and sirloin are all great choices for the grill. Look for good marbling throughout the meat—the fat adds flavor and helps keep your steak tender and juicy.
PREP IT RIGHT
Take your steak out of the refrigerator about 20–30 minutes before grilling. Pat it dry, then season generously with salt and pepper or your favorite steak seasoning.
GET THE GRILL HOT
Preheat your grill before the steak goes on. A hot grill helps create that flavorful seared crust while keeping the inside juicy. Cook to temperature rather than relying only on time.
LET IT REST
Once your steak comes off the grill, give it 5–10 minutes before slicing. Resting allows the juices to redistribute through the meat instead of ending up on your cutting board.
