Grilling Temperature Guide
Great grilling is about more than timing. Knowing the right internal temperature helps you cook meat safely while getting the flavor, tenderness and juiciness you want.

BEEF & STEAKS
For steaks, temperature depends on your preferred doneness. Medium rare lands around 130–135°F, while medium is around 140–145°F. Ground beef should reach 160°F.
PORK
Pork steaks, chops and roasts should reach an internal temperature of 145°F followed by a short rest. Ground pork should be cooked to 160°F.
CHICKEN
Chicken should reach a safe internal temperature of 165°F. Check the thickest part of the meat with a thermometer, avoiding contact with the bone.
CHECK IT RIGHT
Use an instant-read meat thermometer and insert it into the thickest part of the meat. Check near the end of cooking so you can pull it from the grill at just the right time.
